Some healthcare facilities and state policies require users to demonstrate proof of competency on the LeadCare II system. The LeadCare II online training tools are available to assist you. Print and keep all records to document each user's training.

Training Overview

LeadCare II Analyzer Kit	Unpack the analyzer kit and review its contents: Read the LeadCare II User's Guide Read the LeadCare II Quick Reference Guide Watch the CDC Blood Collection Video (approx. 10 min.) Watch the LeadCare II Instructional Video (approx. 10 min.)
LeadCare II Test Kit	Open test kit and review contents Read the LeadCare II Package Insert
Quality Control	Follow the LeadCare II Quick Reference Guide and test a Level 1 and Level 2 Quality Control Record your results and verify that they are within the acceptable range
User Certification	Review the Skills Checklist Take the online User Certification Exam
Training Completion	Print the training overview & user certificate Keep for your training documentation files

Participate in a proficiency program to monitor the quality of your testing program!

Some states (CA, MI, WI, and others) require LeadCare II users to participate in a proficiency program in order to qualify for Medicaid reimbursement.

Get a free LeadCare II test kit (48 tests) annually: LeadCare II users who participate in a proficiency-testing program and comply with state reporting guidelines are eligible to receive a free test kit for each year of participation. Call 800.275.0102, ext. 2, for more information.
