CA state law: report all blood-lead results electronically to the state
California public health law requires all results to be reported electronically to the California Department of Health Services (California Codes Health and Safety Code Section 124125-124165):
- If the blood-lead level is greater than 10 micrograms per deciliter (μg/dL) of blood, the report must be submitted within three working days of analysis.
- If the result is less than or equal to 10 μg/dL of blood, it must be submitted within 30 calendar days of analysis.
